Comfort and Security
Well, let me share with you a story how I realized how important to have extra garage door remote handy. One fine day, I was in a hurry to go out, my remote control suddenly became useless on me.
There was no back up in the near future, so I had to physically open the large garage door and almost arrive late for a significant appointment. That was the day I decided I will never again go a day without a spare remote. Having an extra garage door remote isn’t just a luxury; it is a necessity for a perfect day.
Suppose one day you misplace, someone steals or it gets damaged: If you do not have a backup, you are left to grumble about how you have to open the garage by hand. The need to constantly replace a lost or dead battery for a small gadget like this is inconvenient; having a spare remote does away with this. It’s not even limited to the emergency situations only.
An extra remote is beneficial in many ways especially to families with many drivers. One can be placed in the car while another can be placed in a locked compartment for family or guests. It is the kind of solution where no one really wants to have to use it but at least it is easy to access when necessary. When buying a spare remote control it is important to ensure that it is compatible with the garage door operating system.
Most current remote controls are programmable and simple to encode, which makes it rather easy to set up a back up also. Store it in some place safe and not too out of reach, perhaps in a drawer near the front door, or in some other car. Take it from me: Having a spare garage door remote is such a small thing, but it makes all the difference when it’s needed. You will appreciate that the next time you are avoiding the stress of a bad remote or a lockout situation.
