I’m a big fan of Valve’s Steam online game service, but with subscription plans becoming the norm—especially for MMORPGs—Steam was starting to fall behind.

However, never one to miss an opportunity, Steam has announced the introduction of Subscription Plans to its range of services.

With Subscription Plans, gamers can now sign up for and manage payments for subscription-based games directly through Steam. The launch title for this new service is Darkfall Unholy Wars, with more subscription-based games to follow.

Steam users can sign up for, manage, cancel, or renew their game subscriptions at any time, all through Steam’s platform.

For more information, you can visit the Steam support page about this new service.
