Amazon.com recently confirmed that its customers now buy more

e-books than print books.

Since the last 2 years, Amazon has seen progressive sales for its ebook and confirms having sold 105 books for its Kindle e-reader for every 100 hardcover and paperback books, including books without Kindle versions and excluding free e-books.

Together, not only Amazon is benefiting from this ebook technology, but other major bookstores have also seen progressive sales, and typically each one, like Amazon, carries and offers their ebook reader device online for sales, allowing readers to buy such devices to access easy download of the ebooks. The major kickoff is that each device costs 10 times more than a physical book, and the sales raked in also show an increase in sales figures, while the reader who bought their device usually will come back to download their ebooks, contributing to more business.

All this online marketing efforts are part of the new ball games,

eBook with good content; advertisements; PC tablet device; downloadable media; sales.

Mr James McQuivey, a digital media analyst at Forrester, said, ‘’E-book reading is a big deal and it’s going to continue to be even bigger,’’

‘’But we are not at the point where e-books are a majority of unit sales, and they are certainly not a majority of revenue.’’

TRUE !! But all the new media available for the e-reading device brings far better revenue, all at downloadable speed, like Video, MP3, podcasts, games, etc.

Amazon said last July that sales of e-books outnumbered hardcover books, and that helps

Amazon elevate successfully from a print business to a digital one,

This transition will start to challenge most companies that sell media products, and remember that music has helped the iPod to increase the relevancy of Apple’s main product for the iPhone and iPad, Amazon is foreseen eager to join in the competition with an Amazon—coming soon Android tablet

Although it is not confirmed by Amazon, e-book mobile internet reading devices will likely be Amazon’s centerpiece of their aggressive marketing program for the coming year similar to iPad which will drive more functionality features to their existing Kindle, to help it compete against the iPad2. Anyway, They need new advertising Gimmicks to boost further sales for their ebook, and Kindle’s e-ink technology is a little out of place, as TV started to have Smart TV, and all are in color

Even if e-books do not outsell print books outside of Amazon, the online bookstore is certainly

a strong indicator of a trend. Now the top 4 bookstores with e-reading devices include: the Sony reader store, Barnes & Noble Nook Book store, KOBO, and more

Overall e-book sales in March hit US 69 million, an increase of 145 percent from the year before,  according to The Association of American Publishers’ latest figure.

Google Books leads the pack, and publishers have been rapidly digitizing their catalog of books, making order titles available online at most bookstores. With the trend increasing, it is most likely print books will become more expensive. While owners of the ebook reader device will wish to maximize the usage of the tablet and their ebook reading device to download more ebooks since most of them are sold for less than US9.99, consider a fraction of paperback books, which cost from US 20 to US 40.
